We went Christmas tree hunting Saturday. We get permits from the Forest Service and go into the Black Hills and cut down a Black Hills Spruce. Some people (T) call them Charlie Brown trees, but they are nice. Plus, we helped with the logging effort in the forest! A had fun trudging through the deep snow.
I even carried the baby in the sling. She was bundled up and inside my coat. You can see her head peeking out.
After two hikes through the deep snow (the kids and I slept in the car during hike #2), we found the perfect trees. It's a good thing we were in the car, they said we would have lost A in the snow - it was thigh deep at one point.
We decorated our tree last night. A had fun helping hang the ornaments - and being a ham as usual.

Isn't it pretty?

Funny. Must be a husband thing. Terry used the same Charlie Brown line when we used to go out w/my parents to get their tree. Ah, memories.
