We had a nice Christmas. This was the first year that A was really into it. He liked unwrapping presents last year, but didn't really know what was going on. This year he had a long wish list, was asking about Santa, and was super excited about everything. He had fun unwrapping his and his sister's gifts. And, of course, he made out like bandit.
Flo's sister and family drove out from Indiana for Christmas this year. It was great to meet the kids. We had a great time visiting with them and getting to know the little sweeties.
They wanted to see Mt. Rushmore, so the day after Christmas we trekked up that way. We had a fun time, but didn't see Mt. Rushmore. It was fogged in. Here's what it looks like in the fog...
At least President Bush had declared it a federal holiday and we didn't have to pay for parking at the monument! There wasn't much to look at because of the fog and the gift shop was closed, so what to do, but make a snow angel on the viewing terrace? Leave it to T...
T is taking the last week of the year off work since he had some time to use up. And today, he took A to his first movie in the theater. They saw Madagascar 2.
When they came in the house afterward, I asked how it was and A said, "Good...it was REALLY long." He's just to the point where he can tolerate a full feature film. He had fun though, despite getting folded up in the seat that kept flipping up on him. He ended up sitting on Dad's lap for most of it.

Of course T would do that. I think my T might do it too...
