Construction Zone

Our bedroom has been a construction zone since July. We were ready to add a master bath then, but had trouble finding a plumber who had time and who was reasonably priced. We demolished the old, bigger closet after building a smaller more efficient one on the other side of the room. The closet had been opened up until 2 weeks ago when we found a plumber. The bathroom is now framed, plumbing is roughed in, and electrical is roughed in, all awaiting city inspection before sheetrock can be hung.
This shot is looking into the bathroom from the entrance to the bedroom. The white box on the floor is the stall shower floor, the white plug on the floor is for the toilet, but that one is in the wrong spot. It's a long story - but the hole is now about 8 inches to the left of the one in the picture and the first hole is patched. Then to the left of the stool will be a pedestal sink on the same wall. The room will be bigger than our other bathroom and it only took up about two feet of our room. The closet was really big, but not a walk-in. You can tell on the floor where the closet ended. The finish in the closet was dull for some reason. So, we are excited to have more than one toilet in our house soon - especially since we have a 4 year old boy using the toilet!

Here are a few photos of the kids...E will be 6 months old on Thursday and wants to sit on her own in the worst way. She's getting there and can even support herself alone for a few seconds before falling over. She's still not rolling over...see the picture of the thunder thighs below and you'll see why.

And here's the ham. Daddy calls him a 'ham and cheese sandwich' often. A pure goofball - he gets it honest.
