Rocky Mountain High

Todd and I took a short trip to Denver last the weekend. The kids stayed with Grammy and Grandpa while we left Friday noon and returned Sunday evening. We had originally planned a trip for last weekend because we had tickets to a U2 concert. Then Bono had emergency back surgery and the concert got postponed till 2011. We decided to go anyway. We stayed at a neat-o hotel called The Curtis right downtown Denver and just bummed around in the rain all weekend. It rained the ENTIRE time. We didn't even see the Rocky Mountains on the way in our out of town. We visited the Denver Art Museum, met up with some friends and had a swell time.

This is the view from our 16th floor room - Invesco Field in the background. Kind of glad we didn't see U2 in the rain...
Met up with former Rapid Citians, the Biers and the Minnicks...
A walk through the park on the way to the Art Museum...
Walking through an exhibit at the Art Museum.
