These first photos were taken last Saturday, and although it was cloudy, the weather was pretty nice. Nice enough to take a hike in the hills and have a picnic.
We hiked to the Stratobowl - they launched the first manned weather balloon from this site in 1935. Notice the lack of snow.
A did a lot of riding rather than hiking.
We picked pine cones for decorating the mantle. 
That was six days ago... This next picture was taken today. Although it was sunnier, it was way colder. Hence the snow, wintercoat, and mittens...winter has arrived.
